Really well done. I just would of liked more interaction with the couple rather than the shots of him drinking. Because it wasn't really clear they were a couple. The shot with him on his knees with his arms out is beautiful.
Wow, that was really great! Everything from the concept, to the camerawork and editing, all around really awesome. The editing and action matched with the audio really well, and the visuals worked for the style of music. It has a grungy feel to it, and the location reminds me of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I like the destruction, and the fading in and out between shots. Very cool.
The black and white really worked well with both the music and the layout of the house, everything worked really well together, though it did look just a little dangerous with everything that was going on.
I appreciate how you guys substituted a little white statue for the woman at one instance in the film. it really showed how be-littled she probably felt. I would like to have seen the guy destroy the statue to symbolize destroying her. the fact that the frame size fluctuated throughout the video was distracting.
There were parts of this that were really awesome. I feel like at the end of the video you kind of hit the editing stride you needed, when it started flashing with the beat of the music the footage came alive a bit more. I did think there were parts that were extended too much, for example the back and forth when the girl starts hammering at the wall and then it went back and forth a few times. The Footage at the beginning seemed a little long before we got inside the house.
I like the way violent scenes went with the music and the color choice went well with the story. The little doll and the black and white collage really added to the feeling of the story. The destruction was great.
I really like the shot where the dude had his arms spread out and was on his knees. The monochrome really helps set up the tone for the video. When the girl was hammering the wall I felt that scene lasted a bit too long.
The shots were composed well and the black and white is appropriate. The editing synched very well with the music, especially where the shots fade in and out. The story, however, is a bit confusing. Although the second half clearly portrays a strained and dangerous relationship between the two characters, the beginning seems more like an adrenaline fueled house-smashing rampage, focusing almost exclusively on the male character and not showing enough of the female character's reaction to his aggressiveness. I think it needs to show (without being too explicit or harsh) the male's abusive nature toward her.
what incredible shots and editing! Fit really well with the mood of the video!

ReplyDeleteI really don't have any criticism.. Great job to all 3 of you. The time and effort showed in the work.
ReplyDeleteThere was a strong story and cutting back and forth between two scenes worked very well. there were also a lot of great shots in the building.
